Air Serbia achieved a significant milestone on August 31 by reaching its three millionth passenger for 2024—two weeks ahead of its previous record-breaking year. In the first eight months alone, the Serbian national carrier operated over 31,000 scheduled and charter flights.
“On September 15, 2023, for the first time under our current name, Air Serbia exceeded three million passengers in a single year. The strong demand for our flights to more than 90 destinations across 34 countries has propelled us to reach this milestone in 2024, 15 days earlier than in 2023—a success we are immensely proud of,” said Jiri Marek, CEO of Air Serbia.
In 2023, Air Serbia carried a total of 4.19 million passengers on both scheduled and charter services, marking the third-best performance in its nearly 97-year history. The airline continues to build on this momentum in 2024, with network expansions that include new routes.
Starting September 19, Air Serbia will offer twice-weekly flights to Nice on the French Riviera, and from September 30, the airline will launch direct flights between Belgrade and Guangzhou in the People’s Republic of China.
To support its expanding operations, Air Serbia has bolstered its fleet, which now includes two wide-body Airbus A330-200s, 13 narrow-body Airbus A320 family aircraft, ten ATR turboprops, and two Embraer E195 jets. A third long-haul aircraft is expected to join the fleet in Belgrade in the near future.
