Starting this fall on September 30, 2024, Air Serbia will introduce direct flights between Belgrade and Guangzhou (CAN), marking a significant milestone in the Serbian national carrier’s expansion into the Chinese market. This new route highlights Air Serbia’s strategic efforts to broaden its reach in Asia, coming less than two years after the airline began scheduled flights between Belgrade and Tianjin.
During the current summer season, which extends until October 26 in the aviation industry, Air Serbia will operate twice-weekly flights between Belgrade and Guangzhou. Departures from Belgrade are scheduled for Mondays and Fridays at 00:50 AM local time, while return flights from Guangzhou will take off on the same days at 10:10 PM local time.
As the winter season of 2024/2025 approaches, Air Serbia will maintain its bi-weekly schedule. Flights from Belgrade to Guangzhou will depart on Mondays and Fridays at 00:50 AM, with return flights from Guangzhou set for 11:10 PM on the same days.
Tickets for this new route are now available for purchase, offering travelers a direct link between Serbia and one of China’s major cities. This new connection is expected to bolster business and tourism ties, providing a convenient travel option for passengers on both ends.
Air Serbia’s latest route reflects the airline’s strategic efforts to enhance connectivity and meet the growing demand for travel between Europe and Asia. By adding Guangzhou to its network, Air Serbia is poised to play a pivotal role in facilitating increased cultural and economic exchanges between Serbia and China.
