The White House on Saturday ended public access to President Donald Trump for the day after multiple delays, effectively eliminating any opportunity for White House reporters to see or question him following U.S. strikes on Iran.

The decision left the press pool without in-person access to Trump since Friday, or since his early-morning video statement announcing the strikes.

The White House has released limited details about the operation and has communicated primarily through social media. It has not indicated when Trump will next take questions.

Trump’s social media announcement that Khamenei is dead came 13 minutes after the White House called a lid at 4:24 p.m.
