Breaking into the airline industry and securing a position with a national carrier is a dream of many young people, globally. Air Serbia, Serbia’s flag carrier, is making this dream a reality for the youth for the fourth consecutive year through the Government’s My First Salary program. Open to unemployed individuals up to 30 years old with secondary or higher education, applications for this unique opportunity within the dynamic environment of the national airline are open until December 6.
Air Serbia’s My First Salary initiative is run by the National Employment Service in collaboration with various ministries, including Labour, Finance, Youth and Sports, alongside the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. This robust collaboration underscores a collective dedication to empowering youth, fostering employment, and driving regional economic growth.
Nurturing Talent, Shaping Futures
Over nine months, participants in the My First Salary program will immerse themselves in Air Serbia’s environment, honing professional competencies and acquiring vital skills under the guidance of seasoned colleagues across diverse fields.
This year, Air Serbia is opening 55 positions across multiple departments, with plans to onboard 85 candidates. Notably, in the previous cycles, 71 candidates benefited from this program, and 30 were subsequently employed by Air Serbia after completing the initiative.
Participation in the My First Salary program aligns with Air Serbia’s commitment to cultivating skilled individuals poised to make significant contributions to the aviation industry.
Diverse Pathways, Comprehensive Experience
The program offers a breadth of hands-on experiences across various organizational units within Air Serbia. Departments range from Legal Affairs, Corporate Affairs, and Security to Flight Operations, Finance, Information Technology, Marketing, Human Resources, and many more.
As the application deadline approaches, Air Serbia anticipates a surge of interest from ambitious young individuals eager to launch their careers in aviation. By mid-December, the national airline eagerly anticipates welcoming a fresh cohort of talented, motivated professionals, reaffirming its dedication to youth development and the creation of a proficient workforce for the future.
