Air Serbia reached a milestone in August, transporting 558,524 passengers on its scheduled and charter flights—a 4.7% increase from the previous year. The airline also operated 5,278 flights from Serbia’s three international airports, marking a 3.6% rise from August 2023. This marks Air Serbia’s highest monthly record for both passenger numbers and flight operations since its rebranding.

Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek celebrated the company’s growth, noting, “We carried our third millionth passenger of the year—15 days ahead of last year’s record. After a record-setting July, August has continued our success with new highs in passenger numbers and flights. This motivates us to improve our services and expand our destinations. On September 19, we will resume flights to Nice, and on September 30, we will start new services between Belgrade and Guangzhou.”

August saw a surge in regional travel, with Tivat and Podgorica topping the list. In Western Europe, Zurich, Paris, Frankfurt, and Barcelona were among the most popular destinations, while Istanbul, Larnaca, and Athens led in the Euro-Mediterranean region. There was also a notable increase in demand for flights to New York.

Air Serbia and Mostar Airport have extended their partnership for another year, ensuring continued flights between Belgrade and Mostar until October 2025. The Serbian national airline will maintain its three-times-a-week service to the popular Bosnian city—on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays—with each flight lasting approximately 50 minutes.
