On July 8, Air Serbia celebrated a significant milestone by carrying its two millionth passenger for the year 2024, marking a notable achievement for the Serbian national airline. This accomplishment was reached 11 days earlier than in 2023, when the two millionth passenger was recorded on July 19. Since the beginning of the year, Air Serbia has operated 22,155 flights, an increase of 1,713 flights compared to the same period last year, which saw 20,442 flights by July 8.
Air Serbia’s CEO, Jiri Marek, expressed pride in the company’s consistent progress, highlighting that in 2022, the two millionth passenger was achieved on October 5, and in 2023, it was reached two and a half months earlier on July 19. Marek emphasized the airline’s commitment to providing exceptional service and reliability, particularly amid the challenges facing the aviation industry this summer. “The trust our passengers place in us, by choosing the Serbian national airline as their carrier, proves that our dedication has been recognized, which makes us very happy and proud,” Marek stated.
In addition to this milestone, Air Serbia was recently inducted into the Airline Industry Hall of Fame at the 50th Air Transport World Awards, an event that honors excellence in the air transport industry. This recognition places Air Serbia alongside other industry giants such as Emirates, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Air Canada, and Korean Air, further solidifying its reputation for excellence and achievement in aviation.
