The G7 leaders entered the ‘Summit Restaurant’ through oversized windows at 18:29.

President Biden led the way as the guests took their seats at the dining table. A fire blazing in a fireplace at the far end of the dining room looked cozy.

World leaders took off their jackets as they sat down. President Biden was seated between the host Olaf Scholz and the UK’s Boris Johnson.

Boris Johnson gave a thumbs up to the press and made some broadly inaudible comments about the media but made no comments about Putin.

Ursula von der Leyen had a big case by her side and pulled out files as the press asked to leave.

Earlier today, President Biden and the G7 leaders talked about the global infrastructure partnership including manufacturing new vaccine plants and expanding digital access in the developing world.
