Good Morning DC,
Following the article I wrote on 23-year anniversary of NATO’s bombing of Belgrade that caused lot of interest, on Sunday evening, I was invited to participate in a Twitter Space panel about Liberal Interventionism and Its Consequences.

Last night at the Oscars, Will Smith punched Chris Rock in the face after the host made a joke about the hairstyle of the actor’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. She suffers from alopecia. Sporting a buzzcut, the comedian referred to her as “G.I. Jayda,” prompting her husband to walk onto the stage and deliver Rock a lesson, firsthand.
“Keep my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth,” said Will Smith heading to throw his punch.
Smith wound up getting his Oscar.
Violence has penetrated every aspect of our lives. Sean Penn wanted Zelenskyy to give a speech, but in the end, we got intimate violence on stage, a historic moving picture, and, in my view, the best possible warning of how a war starts between people.
When we can’t even gather peacefully for a by-all-means neutral event, humanity is on the edge of collapse, and the spectators are in it for the fight.

THE WHITE HOUSE
Today at the White House, Biden will announce a new billionaire minimum tax. As part of his fiscal year 2023 budget. President Biden will call on Congress to pass legislation requiring the billionaires to pay a minimum of 20 percent on all of their income, including unrealized investment income that currently is untaxed.
If a billionaire household is already paying 20 percent on their full income – standard taxable income plus unrealized income – they will pay no additional tax under this proposal.
If tax-free unrealized income allows a billionaire household to pay less than 20 percent on their full income, they will owe a top-up payment to meet the 20 percent minimum.
With taxing billionaires, Biden wants to eliminate the ability for the unrealized income “to go untaxed for decades or generations.”
The proposal will ask billionaire households to spread initial top-up payments on unrealized income over nine years, and then five years for top-up payments on new income going forward.
