Air Serbia achieved a significant milestone in July 2024, carrying 548,009 passengers, marking a 7.2% increase in scheduled operations compared to the same period last year. The Serbian national airline operated a total of 5,203 flights from the airports in Belgrade, Niš, and Kraljevo, reflecting a 6.8% rise in scheduled flights compared to July 2023.
“Considering that by June last year we had expanded our network with more than 20 new destinations, July 2023 was a record month in terms of the number of passengers carried and flights operated. This year, we have exceeded that result, which is a clear indicator that the choice of destinations was good and that passengers need greater choice when traveling,” said Boško Rupić, General Manager of Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia.

In the first seven months of 2024, Air Serbia transported 2,427,811 passengers on scheduled and charter flights, representing a 9.26% year-over-year increase. Rupić also noted that charter traffic experienced a slight decline in passenger numbers and flights compared to the same month last year, primarily due to reduced interest in certain charter destinations, driven by current geopolitical events and a broader range of destinations available in the airline’s scheduled operations.
Among the most popular destinations for Air Serbia last month were Valencia, Malaga, and Palma de Mallorca in Western Europe. In the Euro-Mediterranean zone, the top destinations included Larnaca, Heraklion, Istanbul, Izmir, Corfu, and Rhodes. There was also a high demand for flights to Tianjin in China during July.
