There are some destinations that feel like they belong to summer itself. Santorini is one of them.
With its whitewashed houses, turquoise sea, volcanic cliffs and golden sunsets, the Greek island has long been one of the Mediterranean’s most frequented escapes. Now, Air Serbia is bringing travelers closer to that vacation dream with a new direct route between Belgrade and Santorini.
The airline has officially launched the service with inaugural flight JU558/9, adding the Cycladic island to its summer network.
During the season, Air Serbia will fly to Santorini twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, giving passengers an easy way to plan either a long weekend by the sea or a full summer holiday in Greece.

The first Air Serbia flight was ceremoniously welcomed at Santorini Airport by H.E. Nikola Nedeljković, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Greece.
“By introducing direct flights to Santorini, we are not only further enriching our network but directly responding to the strong desire of our passengers to explore the most beautiful Greek islands. Santorini possesses strong international recognition. With a total of eight destinations in Greece – Athens, Thessaloniki, Rhodes, Corfu, Chania, Heraklion, Mykonos, and now Santorini – Air Serbia confirms its role as a leader in connecting the region with the most beautiful coasts of the Mediterranean,” said Bojan Aranđelović, Head of Network Planning and Scheduling, Air Serbia.

For travelers, the new route is all about ease. A Thursday departure opens the door to a dreamy extended weekend: dinner with a caldera view, a swim in the Aegean, a slow walk through whitewashed streets and, of course, that famous Santorini sunset. The Sunday service also makes the island a natural choice for a longer holiday across the Cyclades.
Santorini, Air Serbia’s new destination as of April 30, is more than just another Greek island. It is a symbol of summer travel: romantic, cinematic and instantly recognizable. From its blue-domed churches to its cliffside villages and volcanic beaches, the island offers the kind of escape that feels both glamorous and effortless.
The launch also strengthens Air Serbia’s already impressive Greek network. With Santorini joining Athens, Thessaloniki, Rhodes, Corfu, Chania, Heraklion and Mykonos, the airline now connects passengers to eight destinations across Greece, from cultural city breaks to island holidays made for sun, sea and slow afternoons.
And that may be the real appeal of the new Belgrade–Santorini route. It makes one of Europe’s most desired summer destinations feel closer, simpler and more spontaneous.
What are you waiting for? Book the flight with Air Serbia, pack something white, and arrive just in time for sunset.
