“An occupied country, no longer,” Trump thundered, naming Nov. 5, 2024, as “Liberation Day”—the day he anticipates triumphing over Kamala Harris. Speaking at the first of its kind rally at Madison Square Garden, 17 minutes into his address, he spelled out what he intends to do if elected.

His first order of business: “the largest deportation program in American history,” citing the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 as his mandate. “That’s when they had law and order,” he said approvingly, describing his benchmark for immigration policy.

In New York, where he made his fortune, he noted, “The day I left office, we had the lowest immigration levels, and look what happened after that.”

Promising automatic 10-year prison terms without parole for anyone re-entering the country after deportation, Trump announced, “I am here calling for a death penalty for any migrant who kills an American citizen or law enforcement officer,” spurring a feverish chant of “USA! USA!”

Isn’t it nice to have a president who doesn’t need a teleprompter?

He pledged an immediate ban on sanctuary cities, laying blame on Harris. “Kamala’s gross incompetence disqualifies her from being president,” he said, urging all to watch her interview on “fake news CNN,” then sneering, “No one takes her seriously,” branding her “low IQ.”

Blasting the Biden-Harris administration, he said their policies had led to record spending on illegal immigrants, who were “flown into the heart of America.” He cited Springfield, Ohio, where he said 30,000 migrants had been placed in a town of 50,000.

Breaking from his script, Trump smirked, “Isn’t it nice to have a president who doesn’t need a teleprompter?” He added, “If you have a fear of public speaking, you shouldn’t be a politician.”

On foreign policy, Trump claimed today’s global conflicts would never have erupted had he been in power. Putin, he asserted, perceived Biden’s America as a “paper tiger,” which he said encouraged the invasion of Ukraine. “The new green scam,” Trump added, was the root of today’s energy crises—a crisis he vowed to resolve upon return. Casting another aspersion on Harris, he mused that she would likely reinstate the draft to send Americans to foreign wars.

I am calling for a death penalty for any migrant who kills an American citizen or law enforcement officer.

He turned to the Afghanistan withdrawal and returned to an old antagonist, “Crooked Hillary Clinton.” He said Clinton had predicted in 2016 that he would start a war, and he proved her wrong. He called generals Mattis and Milley “stupid,” adding that America’s adversaries “want Kamala to win.” Trump also said that while there’s more than a 0.1% chance he could die in office, he would “rather be here than anywhere else in the world.”

He introduced his latest slogan—“I will fix it”—and accused Harris of being a mere “vessel” for the Democratic machine. “She’s like Crooked Joe Biden, in so many ways,” Trump insisted. “And she never told us that Joe wasn’t functional.” Trump said he’s running against an “amorphous” Democratic machine and called his opponents “the enemy from within.”

Trump forecasted that Nov. 5 would mark a “bigger victory” for him and the Republicans. He said Harris’s claim that she wouldn’t govern differently from Biden was disqualifying. He urged Americans to vote, stating he is leading in all swing states. He noted that Elon Musk is now campaigning for him in Pennsylvania, calling Musk the kind of person who supports democratic values. He praised the SpaceX and X entrepreneur as “a little different” and referenced Musk’s promotion of “Dark MAGA” hats.

Speaking of RFK Jr., Trump said RFK would be allowed to go “wild” on health and medicine issues but would not be involved in oil and gas. He praised his wife Melania’s No. 1 best-selling book, admitting he was “nervous when I read it.” Trump also revealed that his son Barron, whom he called “king of the internet,” was watching from home.

Thanking his team—“too many to name”—Trump expressed confidence that the Senate is within Republican grasp, teasing a “little secret” about their chances at taking back the House.

In a pointed attack, he reminded the crowd that Harris was among the original supporters of “defund the police,” rendering her “weak” on crime, illegal immigration, and gun rights. He accused her of endorsing taxpayer-funded sex reassignment surgeries for detained immigrants, which he dismissed as absurd. In closing, he accused her of lying about working at McDonald’s.

“And did anyone watch Joe Rogan?” Trump asked, accusing the press of being “the enemy of the people” and claiming consistency on his positions, unlike Harris. “I have been the most consistent,” Trump said, alleging Harris sought to turn the U.S. military “woke.”

We’re bringing back the American dream.

Former President Donald Trump

Trump framed Nov. 5 as “the biggest political event in our country,” blaming Harris for failing to contact Border Patrol even once since becoming vice president. He concluded with a nod to New York City Mayor Eric Adams, praising Adams for having the “courage” to speak out against the administration’s immigration policies—adding that Adams had “refused to agree with Democrats” that he is “Hitler.”

In his closing remarks, Trump pledged to “fire Kamala and save America,” extolling his plan to protect American goods and services and—naturally—to slash taxes. He also proposed a punitive measure: “If you burn the American flag, that’s one year in jail.”

Further, he vowed to eject “transgender politics” from schools, banish critical race theory, and end what he termed the invasion of “men into women’s sports.”

“America First,” he insisted, would soon operate at unprecedented levels as the final call for Americans to start taking care of themselves.

“We will be a proud nation once again,” he said, following up with, “We’re bringing back the American dream.”

But Trump went further, urging supporters to vote in overwhelming numbers to prevent what he alleged would be Democratic interference. Turning his gaze to his hometown, he pledged to make New York “great” once more. He blamed former Mayor Bill de Blasio for its supposed decline after his departure for Washington eight years prior, lamenting that New York has since become a haven for migrants and, he claimed, a place many now wish to flee. Winning New York, he said, would be “such an honor” and a long shot worth pursuing.

“This is the town that taught me that Americans can do anything they set their minds to, no matter the differences.”

Trump Delays Strike Threat After ‘Productive’ Talks With Iran

President Trump said Monday on Truth Social he would pause his threat to strike Iran’s power plants for at least five days, citing what he described as “very good and productive” talks with Tehran. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said his earlier ultimatum demanding Iran reopen the Strait of Hormuz had been temporarily…
