Let’s say your birthday is coming up. How many times have you felt like not celebrating? As years passed by, your birthday began to feel like a quotidian, a nuisance to be haphazardly observed. But imagine deciding otherwise, imagine doing something that feels incredibly nice, treating yourself with something only you would feel ecstatic about doing on that special day. Imagine a bunch of your closest friends smiling around you, celebrating the day you came to be on this planet.

It feels good, doesn’t it? You can’t stay immune to those smiles.

Going to vacation? Great! Be euphoric, google the place you’re going to visit every now and then. Get hyped!

Find new stuff to keep you thrilled

Buy yourself a new pair of shorts with the craziest print ever, and get excited like you used to be when you were a child.

Play with your kids, laugh at their mischief, because sooner than you’d like they’re going to grow up. Show them that life is more than the all-day struggle to get somewhere. Show them life is playing in the mud, getting dirty, making a tent out of blankets, running around thinking you’re a superhero, or just snuggling with the cup of hot cocoa.

Don’t demean those little life events just because you think you should have overgrown them, or because others might say you are childish. Who cares? Be a child. Children are incredibly intelligent: they discover and enjoy life every single day, embracing it as a beautiful adventure that it is. Let your inner child out to play!

Enjoy little things that celebrate life

Enjoy the smell of your morning coffee, feel the sun on your face, let stranger’s smile brighten up your day, do the victory dance for the perfect parking spot you found, cherish that 10 dollar bill you found in the pocket of the jacked you haven’t worn for years and just stop and smell the flowers.

You are the one holding the key to your life. Use it!
