Protesters at Mount Rushmore, South Dakota, have slashed the tires on vans and are blocking the entrance to Trump’s event where he is scheduled to speak tonight ahead of the 4th of July. The situation continues to develop as in addition to police, the National Guard is present on the ground with gas masks on and riot shields.
The president is scheduled to give his remarks tonight at 8 PM local time and is currently on AF1 on his way to South Dakota. Earlier today Trump shared his expectations of the event.
