President Biden confirmed on Friday that he is open to meeting with Speaker Johnson, stating, “Sure, I’d be happy to meet with him if he has anything to say.”

When questioned about the possibility of Republicans having “blood on their hands” if they fail to pass aid, Biden cautioned against using such terminology.

He remarked, “I wouldn’t use that term, but they’re making a big mistake by not responding. The way they’re walking away from the threat of Russia, the way they’re walking away from NATO, the way they’re walking away from meeting our obligations. It’s just shocking [inaudible]. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

Regarding the impact of Navalny’s death on Republicans’ stance on the aid package, Biden expressed hope but uncertainty, stating, “I hope so, but I’m not sure [inaudible].”

In response to whether the US will impose additional sanctions against Russia over Navalny’s death, Biden stated, “We already have sanctions, but we are considering additional sanctions, yes.”
