Today at 2:42 pm ET, at the direction of President Biden and based on Secretary Austin’s recommendations, an F-16 fired an AIM9x to shoot down an unidentified object flying at approximately 20,000 feet altitude over Lake Huron in Michigan.
According to Pentagon, the path and altitude of an unidentified flying object posed a “hazard to civil aviation.”
North American Aerospace Defense Command detected the object Sunday morning and, according to Pentagon “has maintained visual and radar tracking of it.” This is the fourth such incident this month.

“Based on its flight path and data, we can reasonably connect this object to the radar signal picked up over Montana, which flew in proximity to sensitive DOD sites,” the Department of Defense reveled.
