Donald Trump is no longer on Twitter and Facebook, but he plans a comeback with TRUTH Social. On Wednesday, the former President announced the creation of Trump media and technology group through a merger with an acquisition company tmtgcorp.com.
TMTG is already planning three brands: TRUTH Social, TMTG+, and TMTG News.
Donald Trump said that he created TMTG “to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech.” A former president criticized major social networks for denying him a presence. “We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable.,” said Trump.
“I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech. Everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!”
TRUTH Social will begin its Beta Launch in November 2021 and it will be by invitation-only. Visitors to the new website are asked to sign up for the invite list. A nationwide rollout is expected in the first quarter of 2022.
Jason Miller, CEO of GETTR social media platform congratulated Trump on the creating of his social network. He reveled that his company was not able to “come to terms on a deal” to get Trump on GETTER.
As Trump is gearing up to rival the liberal media ecosystem in the face of the midterms and presidential race 2024, it looks like he is laying out the ground for his candidacy.
