In an intense exchange with the Fox White House Correspondent, John Roberts, president Trump calls Congressman Adam Schiff a “political hack”.
John Roberts: Sir, so during your speech last night you described what you call ridiculous political investigations, yet this morning the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Adam Schiff, said that he was going to launch a deep investigation into not only Russia but your personal…
POTUS: Did You say Adam Schiff?
Roberts: Adam Schiff.
POTUS: Oh. Never heard of him.
(Inaudible crosstalk)
POTUS: That wouldn’t be partisan, would it?
Roberts: So not only into Russia but your personal financial transactions. Can we get your reaction?
POTUS: Under what basis would he do that? He has no basis to do that. He’s just a political hack. He’s trying to build a name for himself. And I think that’s fine because that what they do. But there would be no reason to do that. No other politician has to go through that. It’s called presidential harassment. And it’s unfortunate. And it really does hurt our country.

The president also thanked the “nice” things some people said “about the speech last night.
He did not respond to other shouted questions, including your poolers about whether his Monday trip to El Paso is out of a fear that former Texas Democratic Rep. Beto O’Rourke is a legitimate threat to him in 2020.
