This afternoon, the White House issued a readout of the phone call between president Trump and Prime Minister Theresa May.

The statement stipulates the themes of conversation ranging from shared national security interests between the US and UK to Iran, Syria and North Korea. 

“President Donald J. Trump and Prime Minister Theresa May of the United Kingdom spoke by telephone yesterday. They discussed cooperation between the United States and the United Kingdom to advance shared national security interests, including efforts to enforce sanctions on Syria, to ensure that Iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon, and to achieve the final, fully verified denuclearization of North Korea.  They also discussed the status of trade negotiations between the United States and China.”
