Oscar

With just a few hours before the Oscars, here is how you can throw an Oscar Party in style.

Flashing lights, glimmering dresses, and Hollywood royalty make up one of the most beloved night in American pop culture: The Oscars. With the great debate over whether La La Land will live up to its nominations, it’s best to sit back with friends and watch The Oscars in style.

It’s all about the food!

When it comes to entertaining guests it is best to have plenty of food available to munch on during both the red carpet and the show itself. Instead of having a full dinner, try something a little more chic like the show itself – hors d’oeuvres. The Food and Wine has some great recipe ideas for quick and easy Oscar ready snacks. For dessert, Magnolia Bakery has fabulous Oscar-decorated cupcakes that will brighten up any party.

Light, Camera, Action!

In terms of decor, it is vital to remember that the most important part of any Oscar party is the viewing itself! Make sure to have the screen be the center focus of the party, with plenty of comfortable seating, throw blankets and pillows. To make the event more stylish, stray away from the overly used bright red (often associated with the red carpet), and keep the color scheme warm and inviting with black, gold, and white. This will add an elegant twist that will make your party unique. Table cloths, balloons, and glittery tassle are basics to any celebration.

Make sure to sit back, pop some popcorn, and enjoy the show!
