It’s party time in the UK. This evening, at 7.30 pm local time, a star-studded live concert, Platinum Party at the Palace, will take place outside Buckingham Palace with some of the music industry’s biggest names.

Celebrities from the music industry will come together for a spectacular live concert to celebrate the Queen’s birthday. Around 22 000 people will be in the crowd.

The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Cambridge will make speeches at the end of the event.

Who is performing at the Platinum Party at the Palace ?

Expect performances from Diana Ross, Rod Stewart, Elton John, Alicia Keys, Duran Duran, Queen with Adam Lambert and Hans Zimmer.

Emma Raducanu, David Beckham, Sir David Attenborough, Stephen Fry, The Royal Ballet, Dame Julie Andrews, and Ellie Simmonds will also make an appearance.

How to watch the concert?

If you are not in London, you can watch it live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The US audience can watch it on ABC Good Morning America and Hulu.

Whether the Queen will attend the Platinum Jubilee concert outside Buckingham Palace is not yet known.

The third day of Platinum Jubilee celebrations kicked off today with horse racing at the Epsom Derby. The Queen had to drop out of the Epsom Derby and watch it instead on TV from Windsor Castle.
