Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borisov arrived at the South Portico at 2:23pm, where he was greeted by President Trump. 

Both leaders briefly posed for photographers. 

This is not the first White House visit for Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, who previously met then-President Barack Obama at the White House in 2011. 

According to a statement your pooler obtained from the Bulgarian Embassy, the Bulgarian delegation expects the talks to focus on the strategic partnership between the two countries and the development of bilateral cooperation. Furthermore, the Bulgarian government says “emphasis will be placed on ways to enhance the common security interests of both sides in the context of the North Atlantic Partnership, on energy diversification, and on other current topics.”
