Air Serbia is bringing one of Europe’s most desirable island escapes closer to travelers sooner than expected. Due to major passenger interest, the national airline will launch direct flights between Belgrade and Tenerife on September 15, more than a month earlier than originally planned.

The route was initially scheduled to begin on October 27, but strong demand has moved the launch forward, giving passengers the opportunity to reach the largest of the Canary Islands just as autumn travel begins.

For travelers looking to extend the feeling of summer, Tenerife offers an especially tempting answer. Known for its “eternal spring,” the island combines warm weather, volcanic landscapes, sandy beaches and lively coastal towns, making it one of the most attractive destinations in Europe for both autumn and winter travel.

Direct flights from Belgrade to Tenerife will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Return flights from Tenerife are scheduled for Wednesdays and Sundays, giving passengers flexible options for a weeklong holiday, a longer island stay or a warm-weather escape outside the traditional summer season.

Tenerife’s appeal lies in its variety. The island is home to dramatic volcanic scenery, including Mount Teide, Spain’s highest peak, as well as beaches, seaside promenades, charming towns and a rich culinary scene shaped by local ingredients and Atlantic influences. Whether travelers are looking for nature, relaxation, gastronomy or a sunny winter break, Tenerife offers a destination that feels both accessible and far away..

With direct flights starting September 15, Tenerife is no longer just a winter dream. It is an early autumn escape waiting to happen.
