After attending a super spreader event, a 3000 people indoor gathering at WHCA Dinner over the weekend, Secretary Blinken tested positive for COVID-19. The result came positive this afternoon after the PCR test.
The State Department and Psaki said that Secretary Blinken did not meet with President Biden for several days and is not considered a close contact.
Blinken is isolating at home and will continue with his work commitments virtually.
