(THE PAVLOVIC TODAY) —Following Kosovo’s refusal to accept the Biden administration’s request to extend the implementation period for the new license plates, former Special Presidential Envoy for Serbia and Kosovo, Richard Grenell told The Pavlovic Today that PM Kurti’s defiant behavior is not new.

PM Albin Kurti, according to Grenell,”has rejected every idea that the Americans have put forward. It doesn’t matter if the proposal came from a Republican or a Democrat, Kurti rejects them all. Everyone involved knows this to be true.”

The Biden team, said Grenell, is “only realizing this now because the Biden White House hasn’t been paying attention to the Balkan region.”

Earlier today, Secretary Blinken shared his disappointment and concern over PM Kurti’s lack of cooperation amid the rising tensions in Kosovo.

Kosovo government announced today that starting from November 1, the Serbian minority in Kosovo will be getting police warnings to comply. From November 21 to January 21 next year, those Serbs who do not preregister their license plates, police will fine with EUR 150.

The Pavlovic Today reported that Secretary Blinken is calling on Kosovo to reconsider and extend the deadline for license plates in Kosovo.
