Obama abused executive powers

The US President Donald Trump is urging the congressional intelligence committee to determine whether Obama abused executive powers in connection with 2016 election.

President Trump went to twitter on Saturday morning to state an alarming accusation that Barack Obama, ordered his phones to be tapped during the election campaign. As a new twist to the story on the alleged Russia’s ties to the Trump administration, the public has learned from President Trump himself that the Obama administration potentially abused executive powers in connection with 2016 election.

“Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my “wires tapped” in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!” on the Trump campaign last year.

Aside from making this known to the public, President Trump did not provide any substantial evidence for his accusation, and the Obama’s spokesperson went on record to explicitly deny any possibility of phone tapping.

This morning, the White House issued a statement urging the congressional intelligence committee to determine whether Obama abused executive powers in connection with 2016 election.

“Reports concerning potentially politically motivated investigations immediately ahead of the 2016 election are very troubling.

President Donald J. Trump is requesting that as part of their investigation into Russian activity, the congressional intelligence committees exercise their oversight authority to determine whether executive branch investigative powers were abused in 2016.

Neither the White House nor the President will comment further until such oversight is conducted.
