One week before the Inauguration Day, a lot of NYPD officers in full regalia  could have been seen around the Trump Tower this morning, all showing respect for the funeral of Detective Steven McDonald

Hedge-fund manager Anthony Scaramucci known as “the Mooch” has met with the President-elect Trump today. After the meeting, he talked to the press about his new role as the White House Assistant to the next President.

“It’s pretty much as described,” Scaramucci said, “trying to get the message out to inter-governmental agencies and businesses. One of my personal goals is to get all the American people to see President-elect Trump as I see him.”
Scaramucci said they were laying out the structure of his new job right now. Asked if his role could be compared to that of Valerie Jarrett ( currently Senior Advisor to the President of the United States and Assistant to the President for Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs in the Obama administration) he replied: “That’s probably an overstatement. Valerie and I know each other quite well and I will be speaking to her later in the day. I don’t want to overstate the position.”
Scaramucci said he would be working with small and large businesses, as well as the government to help them improve the quality of life for the American people.

This morning, President-elect Trump went to twitter to remind the public what he thinks about Hillary Clinton’s private server: “What are Hillary Clinton’s people complaining about with respect to the F.B.I. Based on the information they had she should never have been allowed to run-guilty as hell….”

President-elect Trump, however, did not change his position of promising not to prosecute Clinton, but as confirmed by incoming Press Secretary Sean Spicer ” he wanted to make it clear that her use of the private server violated the law.”

It has also been confirmed that the General Flynn had a text message exchange with the Russian Ambassador regarding Christmas greetings and that on December 28th, General Flynn took the call from the Russian Ambassador to discuss the logistics of setting up the phone call with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, after the inauguration.

President-elect also met today with Richard Trumka, president of the AFL-CIO. It has been suggested that they had a very productive first meeting.

Further, President-elect has met with Marillyn Hewson, President and Chief Executive Officer of the aerospace company Lockheed Martin Corporation.
“We had the opportunity to talk to him about the F-35 program and I certainly share his views that we need to get the best capability to our men and women in uniform and we have to get it at the lowest possible price. So I’m glad I had the opportunity to tell him that we are close to a deal that will bring the cost down significantly from a previous lot of aircraft to the next lot of aircraft and moreover it’s going to bring a lot of jobs to the United States.
In fact, we are going to increase our jobs in Fort Worth by 1,800 jobs and when you think about the supply chain across 45 states in the US it’s going to be thousands and thousands of jobs. And I also had the opportunity to give him some ideas on things we think we can do to continue to drive the cost down on the F-35 program so it was a great meeting,” said Hewson.

Finally, President-elect addressed reporters in the lobby of Trump Tower after the meeting he had with a  comedian Steve Harvey. “Here’s a good friend of ours, Steve, everybody knows Steve Harvey. Is everybody having fun?”

Asked whether he was concerned that some of his Cabinet nominees during their confirmation hearings had taken contrasting policy positions to his own on issues such as Russia, Iran, and the border, President-elect Trump said that that will all get sorted out.

“ We want them to be themselves. I told them, ‘Be yourself, and say what you want to say, don’t worry about me.’ I’m going to do the right thing, whatever it is. I may be right, they may be right. But I said, ‘Be yourself.’ I could have said ‘Do this, say that’, I don’t want that, I want them all to be themselves.”

Then he shook Harvey’s hand, waved to a crowd of tourists at the end of the lobby at Trump Tower, and went back up the elevator.

That’s all folks for this week.
