transition

This week transition concludes with President-elect’s attendance in an intelligence briefing with Gen Flynn.

35 days from Inauguration Day, President-elect has started Friday morning in New York in an intelligence briefing with Gen Flynn. Despite some conflicting information circulating in the media, Donald J. Trump has been attending Intelligence Briefings three times a week, all alongside daily updates from General Flynn. Alongside this, President-elect had a meeting today with the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Jeh Johnson.

In the same week Presidnet-elect had a meeting with rapper Kanye West,  he is scheduled to meet with yet another music star, none other than Andrea Bocelli. It is interesting that Bocelli is hailing to Trump Tower, considering that he was closely involved with the Clintons and that he has recently performed at the Annual Clinton Global Initiative.

One of the reasons why Trump is successful in bringing on board former Clinton’s supporters is the fact that they are all businessmen and not political ideologues. That is in fact one of the major reassuring aspects of Trump’s politics that could serve both his advantage and the American people’s advantage, who by and large were disappointed by the election results.

Yesterday, President-elect Donald J. Trump announced the nomination of Mr. David Friedman to serve as the United States Ambassador to Israel.

Friedman, whose bar mitzvah was held at the Western Wall in Jerusalem 45 years ago, is a fluent speaker of Hebrew and a lifelong student of Israel’s history. On Thursday, he expressed his resolve to be a rock-solid partner with the Israeli leadership as our two countries seek to advance our mutual interests and keep our people safe.

“I am deeply honored and humbled by the confidence placed in me by President-elect Trump to represent the United States as its Ambassador to Israel,” said Mr. Friedman. “I intend to work tirelessly to strengthen the unbreakable bond between our two countries and advance the cause of peace within the region, and look forward to doing this from the U.S. embassy in Israel’s eternal capital, Jerusalem.”

Moving an U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, is a commitment President-elect made during the campaign trail. According to Jason Miller from transition team, although there is still no schedule set in place as to when exactly the relocation of the Embassy will happen, the President-elect is determined to make it a reality.

Yesterday, President-elect announced the addition of new Executive Committee members and key staff leadership who will join the Trump-Pence Presidential Transition Team.

Of the most recent selections this week to Trump’s office is the Secretary of Interior, Ryan Zinke. With news of this nomination coming out President-elect said: “As a former Navy SEAL, he has incredible leadership skills and an attitude of doing whatever it takes to win. America is the most beautiful country in the world and he is going to help keep it that way with smart management of our federal lands. At the same time, my administration’s goal is to repeal bad regulations and use our natural resources to create jobs and wealth for the American people, and Ryan will explore every possibility for how we can safely and responsibly do that.”Based on the transition team’s comments, Congressman Zinke is seen as a man of action and a strong conservation activist and advocate for America’s energy independence.

Tomorrow, President-elect will be in  Mobile, Alabama where he will holding a Thank You rally. After that he will be heading to Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach where he will be spending holidays with his family.

There will be no Daily Downloads on PEOTUS  over weekend. We will pick up again on Monday with the latest updates on transition.
