At MAGA rally in Michigan, POTUS repeatedly slammed the Democratic Party and “the fake news media,” prompting loud boos from the crowd.

POTUS took the stage in Grand Rapids at 7:21 p.m. to a cheering crowd and the strains of Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA.” Many in the crowd are holding signs that read “Buy American Hire American.” The crowd quickly erupted into chants of “USA! USA!” and “Trump! Trump! Trump!”

POTUS began his speech by talking about what he said was a great week: The economy is doing well, the ISIS caliphate in Syria is defeated, he said, and in a reference to the Mueller report, he said “the Russian hoax” is finally dead.

A few highlights from the speech:

–POTUS repeatedly slammed the Democratic Party and “the fake news media,” prompting loud boos from the crowd.

–Big cheers erupted when POTUS reminded the crowd that Grand Rapids was his final stop during the 2016 presidential campaign, when he held a rally here the night before the election. The event ran so late that it actually spilled over into the early morning hours of Election Day.

–POTUS claimed that thousands of people are “invading” the country and promised to build the wall. The crowd responded on cue: “Build that wall! Build that wall!”

He’s still speaking at 7:52 p.m.
