Motorcade rolling at 11:19 a.m. Pool got a distant glimpse of Trump getting into the beast.
Pool assembled about 10:50 a.m. for short motorcade ride over to the Pentagon. It’s currently 80 degrees and sunny for what will be an outdoor event.
POTUS is scheduled to participate in a full honors welcome ceremony for new Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, who was sworn in July 23.
Pool advises this is an open press event and urges everyone to tune into their favorite cable station or White House livestream to hear the president’s remarks.
