With 23 days from the Inauguration Day, President-elect Donald J. Trump continues to make headlines this morning with his blunt tweeting style on the U.S. relations with Israel and the outgoing President Obama.
“Doing my best to disregard many inflammatory President O statements abound roadblocks. Thought it was going to be a smooth transition-NOT!,” tweeted President-elect Donald J. Trump.
However, despite the tweets on Obama, Press Secretary Sean Spicer has confirmed that the two leaders continue to talk as the Inauguration Day approaches.
Yesterday, President-elect announced his selection of Thomas P. Bossert to serve as Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism.
Bossert comes to the new administration with the previous White House experience as the Deputy Homeland Security Advisor to President George W. Bush and will be focusing on counter-terrorism and cyber security issues.
“We must work toward cyber doctrine that reflects the wisdom of free markets, private competition and the important but limited role of government in establishing and enforcing the rule of law, honoring the rights of personal property, the benefits of free and fair trade, and the fundamental principles of liberty. The internet is a U.S. invention, it should reflect these U.S. values as it continues to transform the future for all nations and all generations,” said Bossert.
Yesterday, President-elect Donald J. Trump announced the appointment of Jason D. Greenblatt to serve as Special Representative for International Negotiations.Greenblatt is one of the President-elect’s closest and most trusted advisors.
“I have known President-elect Trump for two decades and firmly believe that he is a leader with tremendous vision, skill, and talent. My philosophy, in both business and in life, is that bringing people together and working to unite, rather than to divide, is the strongest path to success. I truly believe that this approach is one that can yield results for the United States in matters all over the world,” said Greenblatt.
President-elect remains in Palm Beach, Florida and will be back in New York on New Year’s Day. Later today President-elect will have some news on the economic front that seems to be positive for American workers
