White House Correspondent Ksenija Pavlovic Mcateer gives her take on the latest news from the White House

Good Morning DC,

The audiotape obtained by NYT shows that McCarthy and Liz Cheney conspired to get Trump to resign immediately after January 6. Cheney is talking about the 25th Amendment resolution to remove Trump and McCarthy could be heard saying he would call on Trump to resign. “I think I’m going to call him …The only discussion I would have with him is that I think this will pass, and it would be my recommendation you should resign.”

GMDC wrote on January 7, 2021:  “Cabinet members dust off the 25th amendment as they consider removing Trump from office the morning after his supporters stormed the Capitol yesterday afternoon.”

McCarthy audio tape life lesion? In DC, someone is always listening.

Mike Tyson punched a fellow passenger on a plane after a series of provocations. Sitting behind Tyson in a passenger seat, an intoxicated man would not stop having a go at Tyson. What ensued next was Tyson using what he uses best, his fists.

CNN+ is shutting down before it even started. There will be many explanations, but here’s mine. Self-branding the company “the most trusted news in the media” does not work for the majority of the country. They act as a majority view, but what they have is the optics. I’ve stopped watching CNN after it became unwatchable, even for me. CNN needs new voices, a diversity of perspectives, and fewer political party operatives and former government officials posing as journalists but doing nothing else but propagating ideological talking points.

Today is Earth Day as well as the day when Orthodox Christians celebrate Good Friday ahead of Easter Sunday.

Enjoy the weekend, everybody.

In the afternoon, at Green River College in Auburn, Washington, the President will elaborate on his recent actions to lower costs and call on Congress to pass his plan to reduce health care and energy costs.
