Here are the takeaways from the Vice President’s trip to Florida.
On August 5th, Vice President Mike Pence traveled to Florida with his daughter Charlotte to visit A Women’s Place Medical Clinic, delivering remarks to the Susan B. Anthony List.
Yesterday morning, Pence tweeted, “I’m proud to be Vice President for the most Pro-Life President in the history of this Nation!”
He also made remarks on religious freedom at Starkey Road Baptist Church and spoke at a Faith In America event at Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa.
Pence: Biden Would Undo Progress Made “In The Cause Of Life”
During the Susan B. Anthony List event, Pence assured the audience that Florida is in good hands when it comes to the coronavirus.
“I’ll make you a promise on behalf of the President and our entire team in Washington: We’re going to continue to bring the full resources of the federal government to bear to make sure the people of this community and this state have the testing, the medical supplies, and we’ll continue to develop medicines and vaccines until we put the coronavirus in the past and open up Florida and America bigger and better than ever before,” he said.
The Vice President later took aim at the Democratic Presidential Nominee, stating, “the truth is that Joe Biden, the Democratic Party, and the radical left would undo all the progress that we’ve made in the cause of life. And what a contrast it’s been of the progress of life under this administration.”
Biden’s Campaign Manager: Floridians Do Not Need Another Photo-Op From Pence
Biden for President Deputy Campaign Manager and Communications Director Kate Bedingfield released a statement yesterday addressing Pence’s trip to Florida. “Floridians do not need another photo-op from Vice President Pence, especially with the risk of another visit that fails to meet public health guidelines to keep Floridians safe,” she stated.
Bedingfield slammed the President for his coronavirus response, stating, “the truth is President Trump has made the situation worse, whether it’s been by suggesting Americans inject disinfectant or publicly admitting he asked his own administration to slow COVID-19 testing down to make him look better.”
She went on to criticize the Vice President’s role in the COVID-19 response, calling Pence “Trump’s number one cheerleader and defender.” Kate Bedingfield ended her statement with a direct pitch to Florida voters, writing, “Floridians deserve real, presidential leadership… they will get that in Joe Biden.”
