Following the meeting at the White House, French President Emmanuel Macron exited the West Wing at 10:33 am. Macron, who arrived at the White House already this morning and was greeted by Chief of Protocol Monica Crowley, is on a high-stakes diplomatic mission to Washington DC.
He described the G7 call the leaders had with President Trump in the Oval Office as “perfect” and is expected to return in a few hours to hold a joint press conference with Trump amid peace negotiations with Russia over Ukraine’s future.
Macron took questions from reporters, stating that his welcome from Trump was “very good, very friendly.”
