Steven Cheung, a spokesperson for former President Donald Trump, labeled Nikki Haley as a “warmonger” and brushed off her criticisms of Trump as “ridiculous'” and desperate.

“The more Nikki Haley lobs ridiculous attacks against President Trump, the more voters despise her and see right through her desperation,” Cheung said in a statement on Tuesday.

He said Haley lacks “a cogent argument” or a “coherent reason” for why she should be President. He went on to claim that her appetite for endless rivals is only matched by her “dependency for Democrats to interfere in the Republican primary.”

In an interview on Sunday with “Meet the Press,” Haley said, “I think the American people will take him off the ballot. I think that’s the best way to go forward, is not let him play the victim. Let him play the loser.”

According to a recent internal Republican poll, former President Trump is currently leading Nikki Haley by a 2-1 margin. The two are scheduled to face off in the South Carolina Republican primary on February 24.

Haley, a former two-term South Carolina governor who later served as U.N. ambassador in former President Donald Trump’s administration, is determined to continue her campaign. Her team anticipates raising $1.5 million at a trio of top-dollar New York City fundraisers on Tuesday, according to her campaign.

Cheung claims that under Haley’s leadership America will not be safe and that it will be just as “weak and incompetent” as it was under President Joe Biden. “It would be no different with Nikki Haley at the helm.”
