In a statement released earlier today, the White House confirmed that President Biden and Vice President Harris received a comprehensive briefing from their national security team concerning the ongoing situation in Israel.

“The President directed additional support for Israel in the face of this unprecedented terrorist assault by Hamas,” stated the White House.

The White House assured that both the President and Vice President would continue to receive regular updates on the situation, with White House officials maintaining close communication with their Israeli counterparts. National security teams from both nations are actively engaged with their partners throughout the region.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Deputy National Security Adviser Jon Finer made appearances on multiple news programs this morning to discuss President Biden’s leadership in response to the shocking attacks on Israel that occurred yesterday.

“We are laser-focused. President Biden, who has a 50-year record of solidarity, support, and resolve for Israel, is focused on making sure that they have everything they need to respond to this appalling attack, everything they need militarily, all of the diplomatic support, and all the intelligence support,” remarked Finer during an interview on Fox News Sunday.

Meanwhile, Israeli President Isaac Herzog was featured on Face the Nation, where he praised the recent phone call between President Biden and the Israeli Prime Minister. Herzog noted that the US administration had expressed strong support for Israel in the wake of the terrorist attack and affirmed Israel’s right to self-defense.

“We are in discussions with the administration about the situation and about our needs. I want to take the opportunity to thank the administration for their solid support of Israel and its right to self-defense,” President Herzog stated.
