The actress Jennifer Garner, an ambassador for Save the Children, will be joining FLOTUS and the Manchins in West Virginia.
Good morning from Joint Base Andrews where it’s 66 degrees and sunny.
FLOTUS is flying to Charleston, WV, where she will visit a vaccination clinic for students age 12 – 15 at Capital High School. She’ll give remarks that will be focused on youth vaccinations.
According to the WH, FLOTUS was joined here at JBA by Sen. Joe Manchin of WV, and his wife, Gayle, the recently Senate-confirmed co-chair of the Appalachian Regional Commission. Sen. Manchin will also give remarks at Capital High later today.
Mark Shriver, the president of Save the Children Action Network, an organization that provides resources to low-income families, will be among those greeting FLOTUS upon her arrival at the airport in Charleston.
