(THE PAVLOVIC TODAY) — The United States National Security Advisor (NSA) Jake Sullivan met on Thursday with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, on the margins of UNGA.
According to NSC Spokesperson Adrienne Watson, Sullivan and President Vucic talked about the best ways to “promote” regional stability in the Western Balkans.
Sullivan, Watson said, “welcomed” President Vucic’s efforts to gear Serbia towards energy diversification and increase energy security.
The other issues Sullivan and President Vucic touched upon at the meeting related to foreign investment, supply chains, and strengthening regional economic cooperation.
Vucic evaluated the meeting with Sullivan as “open and “honest.” He also met with Under Secretary Victoria Nuland today.
