As the country prepares for another historic transition of power, the schedule for President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration has been finalized, offering a glimpse into a series of events aimed at celebrating his arrival in Washington.

The festivities kick off on Saturday, January 18 at Trump National Golf Club in Virginia. Reception will culminate with fireworks display.

On Sunday, January 19, Trump will pay tribute to the nation’s fallen heroes at a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. That evening, a celebratory atmosphere will envelop Capitol One Arena in Washington, D.C., as Trump hosts a “MAGA Victory Rally.” Later, a candlelight dinner will offer a more intimate gathering to mark the eve of his presidency.

The Inauguration Day Agenda

January 20 will begin with a solemn service at St. John’s Episcopal Church, a longstanding tradition for incoming presidents. From there, President-elect Trump and his wife, Melania, will head to the White House for tea with the outgoing first family, a gesture symbolizing the peaceful transfer of power.

At noon, the nation’s attention will turn to the U.S. Capitol, where Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance will take their oaths of office. In an exclusive preview of the preparations, The Pavlovic Today covered the rehearsal, capturing the intricate details being perfected for the momentous occasion.

Following the swearing-in, the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies will host a luncheon. The ceremonial parade down Pennsylvania Avenue will then lead President Trump and Vice President to the White House, featuring a review of the troops as part of its military traditions.

Evening Celebrations

After settling into the Oval Office for the first time as President, Trump will participate in an official signing ceremony. The day’s formalities will give way to evening celebrations, including three inaugural balls: Commander in Chief Ball, Liberty Inaugural Ball and Starlight Ball.

On Tuesday, January 21, the series will conclude with the National Prayer Service at Washington National Cathedral.

For those following the transition, The Pavlovic Today will continue to provide exclusive coverage of Inauguration Day inside the U.S. Capitol and the White House as well as the first days of the Trump administration.
