Ksenija Pavlovic, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Pavlovic Today, records in her political diary on the Lifetime Achievement Award reception with the Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. Tuesday, September 27th, 2016; Lunch reception for the Lifetime Achievement Awards with Former Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger is one of the events not to be missed. I had this privilege this year to find myself at the lunch reception with outstanding individuals who gathered at the C3 summit in New York City to promote economic initiatives, investment opportunities and business projects in the Arab world and the United States.
One of many noteworthy moments of the C3 US-Arab Business Summit 2016, which seeks to strengthen bilateral ties between the United States and Arab countries, was the the Lifetime Achievement Award reception at the Union League Club in NYC. Each year, the award is given to the most influential individuals for their extraordinary track record in leadership. This year, on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs has received the Lifetime Achievement Award award from an Honorary Guest, the Former Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger.
Dr. Henry Kissinger stresses the important role of the Kingdom of Bahrain
The Former Secretary of State commended the Kingdom’s desire to reinforce ties with the United States and he praised Bahrain’s accomplishments in improving health services through creation of numerous healthcare institutions. Dr. Henry Kissinger stressed the important role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in its efforts to preserve stability and security in the region during turbulent times as the international community faces numerous challenges in violent extremism and terrorism.
During the ceremony, the Lifetime Achievement Award has also been presented to Henry Kissinger. The Founder of C3 Summit, Mr. Ransel N. Potter has made an extraordinary surprise when he presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Henry Kissinger which was welcomed with standing ovations from distinguished guests. The Former Secretary of State was very pleased and he exercised remarkable humility for the interest he elicited at the C3 Summit. At age of 93, his mind is still intact and illuminates the strength of a true global leader. Held in New York City each year, the C3 Summit is one of the most important global conferences for leaders in the US-Arab world. Past recipients of the C3 Lifetime Achievement Award have included:
- President William J. Clinton
- HRH Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Al Saud, son of King Salman of Saudi Arabia and Governor of Riyadh Region
- Khalad Ahmed Al Habtoor, founder and CEO of the Al Habtoor Group
- U.S. Army General Wesley Clark
