Good Morning DC, Happy Monday! 

President Biden will meet this afternoon at 1:45 p.m. with financial regulators for an update on the state of the financial system and institutions. Other than that, we are slowly entering into the summer at the White House with the much lighter scope of daily news. 

On Wednesday, June 23, 2021, the President will talk about his crime prevention strategy. He will hold a meeting with stakeholders to discuss how to keep American cities and neighborhoods safe.

On Thursday, June 24, 2021, the President will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina to encourage vaccinations and mobilize grassroots vaccine education and outreach efforts.

On Friday, June 25, 2021, Biden will give a speech to commemorate LGBTQ+ Pride Month.

On the same day, Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani and Afghanistan High Commission for National Reconciliation Chair Abdullah Abdullah will visit the White House. 

The Senate will convene today at 3:00 p.m. Today on the agenda is the vote to confirm Christopher Fonzone to be General Counsel of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

On Tuesday, June 22, First Lady Jill Biden will travel to Jackson, Mississippi, and Nashville, Tennessee. She will tour vaccine sites to urge people to get vaccinated.

House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson and Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba will join her in Jackson, MS. Country music superstar Brad Paisley will join her In Nashville, TN.

On June 28, Blinken will join the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Luigi Di Maio at the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS.
