Early exit polls in the UK projected a dramatic win for the Conservative party and a historic blow for Labour and Jeremy Corbyn. Projected results showed a gain of 50 seats for Conservatives and a loss of 71 seats for Labour. It immediately became clear that a pretty solid majority projection for Boris Johnson would allow him to break the gridlock. The results Labour seemed to be shocked about, but as it turns out, they were completely out of touch.

As the Exit polls news broke, a Twitter user asked me to explain to him the counterintuitive electoral outcomes given that there was a conventional agreement that many people rejected Brexit. Well, at least this was what we were told and made to believe.
The explanation for the dramatic UK results is as follows:
1. The majority of Britain wanted Brexit, London is an exception and all the big media is stationed there, thus misconceptions about regrets.
2. The UK is rejecting @jeremycorbyn, anti-semitism and move to the left instead of staying at the center-left.
The big media perpetuating wishful thinking since the EU referendum and telling people how they should think does not work. The era of info gatekeepers and political narratives is over. Better ask the question: why is this happening instead of dismissing it and writing it off as “irrational”.
Calling UK Brexit voters Russian agents doesn’t work. Pushing interpretations of the vote which do not match the political reality does not work. Marxism does not work, it did not work even for former communist countries. America, take a note.
