On Friday, May 5th, Jill Biden is having a busy schedule on her Coronation trip. Here’s a breakdown of her day:

No. 10 Downing Street

  • The First Lady will arrive at No. 10 Downing Street and greet Akshata Murty.
  • Then, the First Lady will have a closed-press meeting with Sunak’s wife Murty.
  • Following the meeting, Jill Biden and Murty will participate in an event at No 10 Downing Street in support of veterans and education. This event, called The Fighting Chance, is a health and wellness program that provides boxing training and employment support to veterans.

School Visit with Akshata Murty

  • Later in the afternoon, Jill Biden and Murty will visit Charles Dickens Primary School, where students are participating in Coronation-related activities.
  • During the visit, the First Lady, Mrs. Murty, and Ambassador Hartley will meet with the school’s headteacher Michael Eggleton and student leaders. They will also visit students throughout the school, including stops at the school courtyard, community garden and a music classroom.

US Embassy London

  • After the school visit, the First Lady will visit the US Embassy London and meet with Embassy staff and families.

Reception Hosted by His Majesty King Charles III

  • In the evening, the First Lady will attend a reception hosted by His Majesty King Charles III at Buckingham Palace.
