In 2016, in the midst of the American elections, Pavlovic founded an independent, American news outlet, The Pavlovic Today, an independent news organization in the White House Press Corps.
Pavlovic was the White House Correspondent who stood up in defiance against the White House’s ban on live-streaming and was hailed as a hero by the American public and the media.
Pavlovic has been featured in The Washington Post, Huffington Post, The Hill, Daily Mail, The Independent, CBC, French Issue of Grazia, the Brussel’s publication New Europe, She-Files etc. Pavlovic has also been a guest on the Lisa Wexler radio show, John Frederick’s radio show, along with all major news outlets in the Balkans.
Having survived atrocious living conditions, growing up in a dictatorship under Milosevic, Pavlovic’s passion for politics branches across international borders. Experiences like surviving three months living in a basement bomb shelter with no food or electricity sparked a dedication to freedom and perseverance that is near unmatched. This passion has led her on a long journey through several esteemed educational institutions, including the London School of Economics and Yale University, where she would later teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
As a Teaching Fellow at Yale University, she taught “The Hero in the Ancient Near East” and a course about American Christianity at the Yale Divinity School. Pavlovic also assisted teaching an online version of Ian Shapiro’s Moral Foundations of Politics course at Yale, which is now available on Coursera.
As a Senior Instructor in the Yale Young Global Scholars Program, Pavlovic led a wide range of seminars in Politics, Law, and Economics program and International Affairs and Security program. In addition to intensive courses on ISIS, American nationalism and terrorism studies, she led and taught three Capstone Projects: Immigration Reform, The Future of War and The Roles and Responsibilities of the Media.
Pavlovic was the Head Writing Fellow at the Yale Graduate Writing Center as well as the fellow of the prestigious Research and Travel Award in Grand Strategy from International Security Studies at Yale University, and the Roger Hertog fellowship in Religious Violence at Columbia University.
Pavlovic has interviewed some of the biggest names in the world of business, entertainment, and news – including the president of the World Bank Jim Jong Kim, Arriana Huffington, Steve Forbes, Martin Amis, Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard, Novak Djokovic, Karlie Kloss, Sir Richard Branson, Abel Ferara, to name a few. Before starting her own independent media venture, she was published in the British Spectator Magazine, The Original (a magazine founded by Novak Djokovic Foundation), the Yale Herald and all major news outlets in the Balkans.
In 2011, Pavlovic published a bestselling novel “Pisma Vetru”, for the biggest publishing house in Serbia, Vulkan Publishing. Never one to limit the scope of her work, Pavlovic is always interested in searching for new forms of storytelling, and in this pursuit, released for Public Pool, a poetry movie, titled “Birthday Player”. This work transcends the mediums of poetry and film, converging them to create a piece that is autobiographical in intent and documentary in form, classified as a work of “Autobiographical Fiction“.
Ksenija Pavlovic currently resides in Washington D.C. where she covers the White House as the independent correspondent and continues to fiercely advocate for free speech and free press.
