The First Lady Jill Biden has tested positive for COVID-19, the White House confirmed Tuesday morning.

“The First Lady is double-vaccinated, twice boosted, and only experiencing mild symptoms,” said the First Lady’s Communications Director Elizabeth Alexander.

As was the case with the President, Jill Biden will be treated with Paxlovid and remain in isolation for at least five days.

“Close contacts of the First Lady have been notified. She is currently staying at a private residence in South Carolina and will return home after she receives two consecutive negative COVID tests,” said Alexander.

President Biden tested negative this morning for COVID on an antigen test. For the next 10 days, Biden will wear a mask when he is indoors and in close proximity to others.
