President Joe Biden revealed he spoke with Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of tonight’s highly anticipated debate with former President Donald Trump but kept the details of their conversation under wraps.
“I’ve spoken to the vice president. She seems calm, cool, and collected. I think she’s going to do great,” Biden said while on his way to his granddaughter’s birthday in New York. “And I’m not going to tell you what advice I gave her.”
The president said he plans to watch the debate after attending the family celebration, and will later commemorate the anniversary of 9/11 on Wednesday.
In related news, Biden is considering imposing restrictions on Ukraine’s use of U.S. weapons amid ongoing tensions in the region. He also commented on the death of a U.S. citizen, reportedly shot accidentally by Israeli forces, saying it was his understanding that the incident was caused by a ricochet.
