Some dreams start with a simple glance upward.

For many girls, the sky has always carried a certain kind of magic: the shimmer of an aircraft overhead, the mystery of life above the clouds, the quiet thought that maybe, one day, they could be up there too. But for generations, careers in aviation often felt distant, especially for girls who did not see enough women in cockpits, hangars or engineering roles to imagine those paths as their own.

Air Serbia’s new Fly High campaign is here to change that narrative.

Launching symbolically on March 8, the campaign is dedicated to women who push boundaries in aviation every day. It brings forward the stories of Air Serbia’s female pilots, engineers and leaders—women who turned ambition into reality through dedication, knowledge and persistence, even when the path ahead was difficult, unconventional or underestimated.

The campaign features Sara Golubović, Junior First Officer on the ATR aircraft; Marta Ožegović, Junior First Officer on the Airbus A320 aircraft; Dina Milovanović, First Officer on the Airbus A320 aircraft; Nevena Santrač, Structural Engineer; and Milica Netković, General Manager People and Performance at Air Serbia.

Their stories matter because visibility matters. When young women see someone who looks like them flying an aircraft, designing solutions, working in technical aviation or leading teams, the question changes from “Can I do that?” to “Why not me?”

Today, 12 women pilot Air Serbia’s aircraft. In the company’s hangars and technical sectors, female aviation engineers work daily to help ensure the reliability of the fleet. These are not symbolic roles. They are highly skilled, high-responsibility careers at the center of modern aviation.

With Fly High, Air Serbia is highlighting more than individual success stories. The campaign is also a statement about diversity, equal opportunity and professional development as essential parts of a modern company. It recognizes that talent is not defined by gender, and that industries grow stronger when more people are encouraged to bring their full ambition to the table.

The campaign also arrives at a moment when representation in technical and leadership fields remains more important than ever. Encouraging young women to pursue aviation, engineering and operational careers starts with showing them that these roles already belong to women who are thriving in them.

Air Serbia’s Fly High campaign is ultimately about more than flying. It is about confidence. It is about choosing the dream that feels bigger than expected. It is about walking into spaces where women were once underrepresented and making them feel more open for the next generations to come.
