Trump

Daily download on PEOTUS who in 43 days will become the next American President.

Today, marks 43 days from Donald J. Trump becoming the next President of the United States. Yesterday, President-elect had a successful day of meetings. So far he has held 85 meetings, and he has received 71,000 resumes.

Trump transition is now 50% over, due to the total number of appointments for the administration to be named. These 12 selected individuals show that President-elect is assembling his cabinet at the fast pace and with continuity. In addition to cabinet appointments, today, President-elect and his transition team will be naming  40 people for the government agencies.

One of the biggest point of contention is an appointment of  Scott Pruitt for Environmental Protection Agency. Pruitt has been yesterday at Trump Tower and New York Times has already warned the public that Pruitt is a climate change denialist.

However, WSJ is of the opposite opinion: “Democrats will attack Mr. Pruitt as a climate-change “denier,” but his only offense is disagreeing with them on energy policy. The irony is that Mr. Pruitt will probably do more for the environment than Mr. Obama ever did because he will make sure that rules issued by the EPA are rooted in law and thus won’t be overturned in court.”

High level officials from the Trump transition team clarified indeed this morning that  Pruitt will be focusing on Trump’s energy plan.

Just yesterday President-Elect announced Linda McMahon to Serve as the Administrator of the Small Business Administration.

“Linda has a tremendous background and is widely recognized as one of the country’s top female executives advising businesses around the globe. She helped grow WWE from a modest 13-person operation to a publicly traded global enterprise with more than 800 employees in offices worldwide. Linda is going to be a phenomenal leader and champion for small businesses and unleash America’s entrepreneurial spirit all across the country, ” said President-elect Donald J Trump.

However, it is still unclear how good fit she is in terms of ethical leadership considering her involvement with WWF and WWE mostly concerning the status of the wrestlers as independent contractors receiving zero employee based medical coverage for injury, steroid abuse complications etc.

Today in New York, President-elect will be meeting with a former Admiral James Stavridis from Fletcher school. Stavridis is the first naval officer to serve as American and NATO commander in Europe,  he commanded U.S. Southern Command, and is the longest service combatant in the navy. It is still not clear whether he is one of the potential candidates for the Secretary of State or he is coming to meet President-elect in an advisory role.

After meeting with Stavrdis, President will meet with Alan Mulally, CEO of  Ford Motor company. It has been suggested that Mullay is not a contender for a cabinet position but is coming into a meeting as someone who knows a lot about trade issues and economy.

Next, President-elect will be meeting with Idaho congressman Raúl Rafael Labrador who is  currently serving his 3rd term.

Later today, Trump will be attending event at Ohio with the families of victims of the Ohio State attack. The event will be closed to public and the press.

After that he will be heading to Iowa where will be joined with just nominated Ambassador to China,  Terry Branstad, Republican Governor of Iowa. A week from today, Trump will be holding a conference that he will be stepping away from his business.

With this, we conclude our Daily Download but we are expecting that President-elect will be making some additional cabinet announcements later today.
