President Donald Trump made clear he is not softening his stance on Greenland. If anything, he sounded more resolved.
Talking to the White House press, President brushed aside suggestions Nobel Prize is shaping his thinking.
“I don’t care about the Nobel prize. A very fine woman felt that I deserved it and really wanted me to have the Nobel Prize. If anybody doesn’t think that Norway doesn’t control the Nobel Prize, they’re just getting — they have a board, but it’s controlled by Norway.”
Trump dismissed the idea that European leaders gathering in Davos would mount serious resistance against his Greenland ambition.
“I don’t think they’re going to push back. We have to have it. They have to have this done. They can’t protect it.”
