Good Morning DC,
The shooting in Highland Park, Illinois overshadowed the Independence Day celebration yesterday at the White House. Police arrested the shooter on the run, Robert E. Crimo III in Lake Forest, Illinois.

Biden said he was “shocked” by the shooting and promised to do more on gun violence. “We’ve gotta get this under control.”

The President and his family watched the 4th of July fireworks over the National Mall from the White House balcony. After the fireworks ended, Biden gave a salute to the crowd.
