Good Morning DC,

Across the pond, King Charles has returned to London for what seems to be an additional cancer treatment.

Let’s get you caught up with the news of the day.

President Biden has expressed concern for the over one million Palestinians taking shelter in Rafah, located in southern Gaza, emphasizing their exposure and vulnerability.

“Many people there have been displaced, displaced multiple times, fleeing the violence to the north and now they’re packed into Rafah, exposed and vulnerable,” said Biden. “They need to be protected,” he added noting that the US opposes “any forced displacement” of Palestinians from Gaza.

Biden is pushing a plan for peace that will include a six-week period of “calm” as Israel works on its plan to target Hamas in Rafah.

Trump has endorsed his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, for the position of RNC co-chair.

“Lara is an extremely talented communicator and is dedicated to all that MAGA stands for. She has told me she wants to accept this challenge and would be GREAT!”

Yesterday, lawyers representing Donald Trump petitioned the US Supreme Court to pause immunity ruling in the criminal case regarding his attempts to overturn the 2020 election results. This move comes as he prepares to contest a recent appeals court decision that determined he was not immune from prosecution.

The Senate approved a $95.3 billion foreign aid package, featuring aid for Ukraine and Israel, in a vote held early Tuesday morning.

Senator Lindsey Graham is pushing the idea that the approved aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan should be structured as a “loan” that must be repaid.

The supplemental aid package should be a loan to the countries in question, as suggested by President Trump. A loan on friendly terms allows America, who is deeply in debt, a chance to get our money back and changes the paradigm of how we help others. President Trump is right to insist that we think outside the box.

Today in the House, the impeachment of Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is back on the agenda.
